Afghan Acting PM Hails Stronger Ties in Kabul with Chinese FM

In a landmark meeting on Wednesday in Kabul, Acting PM Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund welcomed Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for talks full of optimism and mutual respect 🤝.

Akhund expressed heartfelt gratitude for China's unwavering goodwill and its firm support for Afghan interests on the global stage 🌍. He praised China's friendly policies, emphasizing that history shows non-interference yields success while meddling brings trouble.

Both sides stressed the principle of non-interference in internal affairs and pledged to deepen cooperation across trade, infrastructure, and cultural exchanges 🚂🖼️. They vowed to promote sustainable development and improve the well-being of Afghan people without causing problems for other nations.

Akhund also reassured that Afghanistan will never allow any group to threaten China from its soil, reaffirming solidarity against regional security threats like the East Turkestan Islamic Movement 🛡️.

For his part, Wang Yi highlighted the long history of friendship between the two neighbors. He praised Afghanistan's sovereignty, cultural traditions, and unique governance model. He also warned that hegemonic forces have historically failed in Afghanistan and will never succeed in the future 🔒.
