Iran Open to Direct Nuclear Talks with U.S. Under Equal Conditions

Have you heard? Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref just dropped some big news in Tehran 🌍🤝. At a press moment, he hinted that direct nuclear talks with the U.S. could really happen—if the playing field is level.

“Negotiations are all about protecting both sides’ interests,” Aref told reporters, adding that Iran is up for talks “under equal conditions.” But he made it clear: any one-sided agenda won't fly. “We’re not against dialogue,” he stressed, “but we won’t accept talks that only serve U.S. aims.”

He also criticized some Western countries for turning Iran’s nuclear file into a “political project,” calling the zero-enrichment demand “a big joke” 🔥. Aref said Iran is open to building trust—a trust he suggests the Americans are “feigning sleep” on.

Why now? In mid-June, tensions spiked after Israel launched airstrikes on several Iranian sites, including nuclear and military facilities. Iran fired back with missiles and drones, then the U.S. bombed Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan nuclear plants. In reply, Iran targeted a U.S. air base in Qatar. After 12 days of back-and-forth, a ceasefire was reached on June 24 ✌️.

Fast forward: Washington is demanding Iran halt all uranium enrichment—something Tehran firmly rejects. Aref’s latest comments could be a sign that, with the right conditions, a fresh chapter of dialogue might be on the horizon. Stay tuned for more updates! 📡
