It's the end of an era! 🇩🇪⚽️ From 2027, Germany's national football teams will don Nike kits, waving goodbye to a partnership with Adidas that spanned over 70 years.
\"The DFB has to make economic decisions,\" the German Football Association (DFB) shared on X (formerly Twitter). \"Nike made by far the best financial offer in the transparent and non-discriminatory tender process.\"
Holger Blask, DFB's chief executive, added, \"Nike not only offered the best economic deal but also impressed us with their vision. They're committed to promoting amateur and grassroots sports and boosting women's soccer in Germany.\"
Adidas, the home-grown sportswear giant, seemed caught off guard. \"We were informed by the DFB today that the association will have a new supplier from 2027,\" they said in a statement.
As part of the new deal, Nike will supply the German national teams' kits until 2034. Talk about a plot twist in the sportswear game! 🎬👟
