Xinjiang Dance Festival Bridges Global Cultures

The 7th China Xinjiang International Dance Festival lit up the stage from July 20 to August 5, transforming Xinjiang into a vibrant hub for artistic exchange. Urumqi played the starring role as the main venue, while sub-venues in Ili, Hotan, Aksu, Karamay, Hami, and Alaer added extra sparkle.

With 24 art troupes gracing the stage—including captivating groups from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, the United States, Italy, and Cambodia—alongside 16 domestic teams from China, the festival featured 52 diverse performances. From dance dramas and operas to graceful ballets and modern dance, each performance celebrated creativity and unity.
