Dual Milestones Celebrated at Chinese Embassy DC

On July 24, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in the United States hosted a vibrant reception to honor two historic milestones. The evening celebrated the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Embodying a spirit of unity and remembrance, the event brought together over 300 guests, including U.S. government and military officials, family members of the Flying Tigers and World War II veterans, diplomats, military attachés from various countries, and representatives of overseas Chinese communities and Chinese institutions in the United States.

Ambassador Xie Feng, accompanied by his wife, along with distinguished figures such as Minister Jing Quan, Minister Qiu Wenxing, and Defense Attaché Major General Liu Zhan, graced the occasion, lending it a profound sense of historical pride and inspiration. The evening resonated with the stories of bravery and resilience, underscoring a legacy that continues to inspire future generations. 🎉
