Erenhot Port Hits 2,000 China-Europe Freight Train Milestone!

The northern port of Erenhot in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has reached a major milestone by processing 2,000 China-Europe freight trains this year. As the largest land port on the China-Mongolia border, Erenhot is fast becoming a key hub in modern global logistics.

This achievement comes from a strong partnership with Mongolia's Zamyn-Uud station. Daily dialogues and monthly meetings help smooth out scheduling for arrivals and departures, ensuring top-notch coordination across borders. In a notable move towards efficiency, Yun Zhijun at Erenhot Station remarked, "We've cut border inspection time to under 30 minutes and reduced overall clearance time by over 5 percent."

Adding to the forward-thinking approach is the plan to introduce a digital port system for paperless customs clearance. This innovation will bolster collaboration with customs, border inspection, and other checkpoint units, presenting the port as a model of progressive logistics.

Currently, the Erenhot port supports 73 routes linking over 60 cities from 24 provinces of the Chinese mainland to more than 70 cities and stations in over 10 countries, including destinations like Germany and Poland. This vibrant network is not only a boost for trade but also a bridge connecting diverse cultures and economies in an increasingly interconnected world. 🚄✨
