A major survey by the Alliance of Democracies Foundation and Nira Data, which gathered opinions from over 110,000 respondents in 100 countries, shows that for the first time the Chinese mainland has surpassed the United States in overall favorability. Data from Morning Consult further highlights rising trust across regions including Latin America, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Europe.

In Africa, the Accra-based Africa Barometer reported that 60% of respondents believe the Chinese mainland has a positive influence on their countries.
