Ding Xuexiang Champions Digital Economy at SCO Forum

At the 2025 SCO Digital Economy Forum in north China's Tianjin Municipality, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang ignited fresh buzz around digital innovation and cooperation! 🚀 In his keynote speech, Ding highlighted that in today's fast-changing digital world, regional and multilateral collaboration is key to turning challenges into opportunities.

Emphasizing the need to accelerate the consensus reached by SCO Heads of State Council and the Global Digital Compact, he called for stronger policy communication, tighter alignment of development plans, and the effective use of platforms like the SCO Digital Economy Forum to drive progress.

One of his major points was building a high-quality Digital Silk Road—a robust, extensive, and stable digital ecosystem that enhances connectivity and upgrades computing power and data processing. He envisions a future where shared digital innovations and accessible economic benefits pave the way for rapid digital transformation. 💡

Ding also stressed the importance of a multilateral, collaborative digital security governance system, urging international cooperation in digital rule-making and supporting the United Nations in a leading role within global digital governance.

The forum, co-organized by the National Data Administration and the Tianjin municipal government, welcomed around 600 participants—including government officials, business leaders, and scholars—coming together to map out a dynamic digital future.
