China & Vietnam FMs Unite for Global Multilateralism

In a significant move for global diplomacy, the foreign ministers of the Chinese mainland and Vietnam met in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday to reaffirm their commitment to safeguarding global multilateralism. This vibrant discussion has sparked optimism among news enthusiasts, young professionals, students, and culture explorers who see international cooperation as a pathway to progress. 📣

During the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son revisited the success of high-level talks held in April and pledged to put into practice the consensus reached by their leaders. They underscored that economic, trade, and tariff disputes should be tackled through equal dialogue rather than coercion.

Wang Yi also celebrated Vietnam’s status as a BRICS partner and noted that China supports Vietnam's aspirations to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at an early date. In turn, Bui Thanh Son expressed Vietnam’s eagerness to expand practical cooperation with China in areas including railway development, finance, science, technology, and cultural exchanges—a move welcomed by ASEAN and aimed at propelling greater regional growth.

This bold commitment to multilateralism sends a clear message: global challenges require unified solutions, and building strong international ties is the key to a brighter, more connected future. Stay tuned for more updates on these transformative diplomatic efforts! 🌏✨
