China Launches Emergency Response for Typhoon Danas

Typhoon Danas, the fourth typhoon of the year, formed early Saturday morning. By 5 p.m. Beijing Time, its center was located about 355 kilometers southwest of Taiwan's Cape Eluanbi in the northeastern waters of the South China Sea, with sustained winds reaching Force 10.

Forecasts suggest the storm will drift northeastward, intensify further, and may soon develop into a full typhoon, possibly affecting coastal areas from southwestern Taiwan to northern Fujian. This looming threat has prompted swift action from authorities.

In a proactive move, China's National Meteorological Center issued a yellow typhoon warning at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters activated a Level IV emergency response for Fujian and Guangdong. A dedicated working group has been dispatched to Fujian to bolster local emergency preparedness. 🚨

Additionally, a joint consultation by the Office of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters and the Ministry of Emergency Management took place on July 5. Video briefings with officials in affected provinces confirmed that coordinated measures are being implemented to secure lives and property.

As Typhoon Danas intensifies, residents in the potential impact zones are urged to stay informed and take necessary precautions. Stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops!
