In a unified stand, 21 Arab and Muslim countries have jointly condemned Israeli airstrikes on Iran, calling for an immediate halt to the hostilities. The statement, initiated by Egypt, was forged after consultations led by Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty with counterparts from across the region.
The coalition—including Türkiye, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Bahrain, Brunei, Chad, Gambia, Algeria, Comoros, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Egypt, and Mauritania—described the strikes as a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
They stressed the importance of respecting national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the principles of good neighborliness. The countries warned that the escalating tensions could jeopardize regional security and stability, urging comprehensive de-escalation measures that would eventually lead to a full ceasefire. 🌐
