Hey everyone, if you experienced glitches on X over the weekend, you’re not alone! Elon Musk's X, formerly known as Twitter, hit a rough patch on Saturday morning as over 25,000 U.S. users reported issues. The outage tracking website Downdetector picked up more than 25,000 incidents by 8:39 a.m. EDT, sparking chatter across digital spaces.
The trending hashtag "#TwitterDown" quickly became the talk of social media. Some users saw error messages like "Something went wrong. Try reloading," with parts of the service failing to load completely—even at 9:30 p.m. Beijing Time (1330 GMT) our team noticed that while posts appeared, the timeline wasn’t always displaying correctly. A few CGTN-owned X accounts were affected but have since bounced back.
It’s a bit like that dreaded moment when your Wi-Fi cuts out during the climax of your favorite series 😬. Even tech giants can have off days, reminding us that in our hyper-connected world, glitches can pop up when you least expect them!
