At the recent Two Sessions event, Zhang Xingying, a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and deputy head of the Department of Science, Technology and Climate Change of the China Meteorological Administration, shared some exciting news. China is beefing up its early warning systems for extreme weather events and is eager to collaborate with other nations to tackle climate change head-on. 💪🔥
“2023 is the hottest year on record since 1850. Climate change is affecting both nature and humanity, and it’s a challenge we all share,” Zhang said. 🌡️🌎
