China Urges Philippines to Halt Provocations in South China Sea

In a dramatic Friday turnaround, a spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, Liu Dejun, condemned what he described as provocative actions by the Philippines. Liu stated that on Sunday, six individuals from the Philippines illegally landed on Tiexian Jiao in China's Nansha Qundao, challenging China's indisputable sovereignty over the area.

Liu emphasized that the actions not only violate China's territorial sovereignty but also breach the established norms outlined in the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea. According to him, such incidents undermine regional peace and stability, prompting stern warnings for the Philippine side to immediately cease its rights-infringing behaviors.

The China Coast Guard has vowed to maintain its rights protection and law enforcement activities in waters under China's jurisdiction. This development adds another chapter to the dynamic and closely-watched developments in the South China Sea, resonating with news enthusiasts, young professionals, students, and travelers alike. 🚨🌏
