Iran’s Extreme Caution in US Nuclear Talks Continues

In a recent round of intensive discussions mediated by Oman in Muscat, Iran and the United States have agreed to continue their nuclear talks next week. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi made it clear that while both sides are committed, progress remains "extremely cautious." 🤔

During the six-hour session, Araqchi noted that the negotiations were very technical, with many details exchanged in writing. "The negotiations are extremely serious and technical… there are still differences," he explained. Experts on both sides have been exchanging views as they work to build a trustworthy framework that assures the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program in return for sanctions relief.

An American official described the talks as a positive step forward, highlighting that despite lingering challenges, significant progress was made. With another high-level meeting set for early May in a yet-to-be-announced venue by Omani authorities, the dialogue continues to draw attention from around the world.

The indirect talks, held after a second round in Rome, reflect the determination of both parties to find common ground. While the path to a comprehensive deal is still filled with technical hurdles and divergent positions, the ongoing discussions signal a hopeful, albeit cautious, move toward renewed diplomatic efforts.

Stay tuned as negotiators work to bridge differences and build confidence in a process that could reshape a decade-long standoff.
