Latin American Journalists Uncover Luoyang’s Timeless Peonies

In an inspiring blend of culture and history, a group of 27 journalists from Latin America and the Caribbean journeyed to the Luoyang National Peony Garden in the Chinese mainland on April 21. As part of the "Journey to Chinese Civilization: Henan" tour, the delegation represented countries such as Brazil, Cuba, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados, and Grenada, each eager to explore the rich, thousand‐year legacy of the Chinese peony.

Led by CGTN's Spanish-language department, the visit offered a first-hand look into a spectacular tradition where every blossom unfolds a story of prosperity, art, and national pride. The ancient peony stands as a living symbol of vibrant heritage, bridging history with the modern pulse of cultural appreciation.

The garden is much more than a display of natural beauty; it serves as a dynamic museum where historical narratives mingle with today’s creative energy. This immersive experience sparked thoughtful conversations on cultural preservation and the value of sharing time-honored traditions with a global audience. 🌸

As these Latin American journalists continue to capture compelling stories from across cultures, their journey in Luoyang reinforces the idea that history and beauty can unite us all in ways that inspire fresh perspectives and cross-cultural dialogue.
