Han Zheng Strengthens Fiji Ties in Beijing

In a vibrant exchange of ideas and friendship, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Filimone Jitoko, speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji, in Beijing on Friday. The two leaders celebrated a longstanding relationship that began when Fiji was one of the first Pacific Island countries to establish diplomatic relations with New China.

Han Zheng highlighted that the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Chinese mainland and Fiji has thrived through mutual respect and common development. The meeting also focused on executing key consensus reached by their leaders, furthering traditional friendship, and gearing up for the 50th anniversary celebration of diplomatic ties. 🤝🌏

Filimone Jitoko emphasized that adherence to the one-China principle is the cornerstone of Fiji-China relations.
