🏅 Team Shanghai's Qin Weibo sprinted to victory at the Chinese National Indoor Athletics Championships in Jinan, Shandong Province, grabbing the men's 60-meter hurdles gold with a personal best time of 7.56 seconds!
Qin edged out Zeng Jianhang by just 0.03 seconds, while Zhu Shenglong took the bronze in 7.68 seconds. "I started off with better balance today," Qin shared. "So I had smoother acceleration later and won the race in the end."
His stellar performance secured his spot alongside Liu Junxi and Zhu as one of the top three Chinese athletes qualified for the World Athletics Indoor Championship, kicking off on March 21 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Looking ahead, Qin is fired up for the outdoor 110-meter hurdles event. "I have higher expectations for the outdoor event now," he said. "I usually speed up late in the race. If I can finish the first 60 meters in 7.56 seconds, I can do better in the 110-meter event, maybe better than I did last year. I will go for 13.20 seconds." 💪🏃♂️
