China’s NPC Session: Upholding One-China and Strengthening Taiwan Ties
Senior leaders from the Chinese mainland gathered this Friday for the third session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), China’s top legislative body.
Top political advisor Wang Huning joined forces with NPC deputies from the Taiwan delegation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the one-China principle and the 1992 Consensus. Wang reiterated the stance against any "Taiwan independence" separatism and external interference.
As chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Wang called for deeper and more meaningful integrated development across the Taiwan Strait. The goal? To ensure that residents of Taiwan share in the opportunities and successes of China’s modernization journey.
