Seven people were injured after shells accidentally landed in a civilian area of South Korea on Thursday, according to the local broadcaster YTN. 📰
The incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. local time (0100 GMT) in the town of Pocheon, located approximately 40 kilometers north of Seoul. Two shells fell on two residential houses, leading to four serious injuries and three minor ones. 🏠💥
The mishap took place during a combined live-fire exercise between South Korea and the United States, which deployed over 160 pieces of military hardware, including tanks, self-propelled howitzers, helicopters, and stealth jets. 🚁🛡️
