CPPCC Annual Session Showcases Impressive Policy Contributions

Beijing buzzed with activity as China’s top political advisory body, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, kicked off its annual session this Tuesday.

Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presented a comprehensive work report on behalf of the Standing Committee. 📊

Over the past year, the CPPCC received a whopping 6,019 proposals, with 5,091 successfully filed, achieving a remarkable 99.9% response rate. 📝

In addition to proposals, there were 54,317 information submissions, out of which 11,323 were adopted. The committee also compiled and published 1,728 information bulletins, and submitted 1,016 reports to the Communist Party of China Central Committee and State Council leaders.

Policy recommendations were a major focus, with 819 instructions received from leaders and 53 feedback reports from local governments and departments. This highlights the CPPCC's pivotal role in shaping policies that impact the nation.
