DPRK Boosts Defense in Response to US Military Moves 🛡️

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is stepping up its self-defensive capabilities to ensure national security amidst rising tensions in the region.

Pyongyang stated on Saturday that strengthening their strategic armed forces is crucial to deter any provocative attempts by rivals. This move comes after a recent U.S. nuclear-powered submarine accessed the Korean Peninsula and the U.S. along with South Korean militaries announced plans for large-scale war drills.

According to the chief of the policy office of the DPRK's defense ministry, these developments are significant reasons for the DPRK to bolster its defense capabilities. \"It is the just self-defensive right of a sovereign state to steadily develop the self-defense capability capable of effectively containing all security threats and ensuring national security and the strategic balance of the region,\" the statement read.

The DPRK criticized the United States for what it calls reckless arms buildup and radical modernization of its nuclear forces, which the DPRK views as a serious threat to both the Korean Peninsula and global security. The chief dismissed U.S. claims that the DPRK can strike the entirety of North America with nuclear weapons as \"a brigandish sophism like a guilty party filing the suit first.\"

Expressing serious concern over the U.S. military's confrontational behavior, the DPRK accused the U.S. of building up public opinion against the DPRK to justify its military ambitions in the region. The statement emphasized that if the United States genuinely cares about its mainland security, it should abandon its military threats and hostile policies towards independent and sovereign states.

Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the evolving security dynamics in the region.
