Rescue Teams Rally as Earthquake Hits Xizang: Relief Efforts Intensify

Emergency teams are working around the clock in the earthquake-hit Xizang Autonomous Region, bringing hope to affected communities. Following a powerful magnitude-6.8 earthquake in Dingri County of Xigaze City, the region is pulling together to rebuild and recover.

Sadly, at least 126 people have lost their lives, with 188 injured and over 3,600 homes collapsed. But amidst the devastation, stories of resilience are emerging. 🏠❤️

The Ministry of Emergency Management has swung into action, mobilizing 84 teams—that's 1,586 personnel equipped with specialized gear and helicopters! 🚁 Their mission: to assess damage, deliver aid, and support the communities in need.

So far, over 160 damaged houses have been assessed, and 500 households have received emergency assistance. More than 61,000 relief items have been distributed, ensuring families have essentials to get through this tough time.

In Lhaze County, the installation of prefabricated homes has kicked off. Groundwork and infrastructure are underway for 400 sets of mobile homes, offering safe shelters for those displaced. 🏡✨
