Tennis fever is hitting Down Under as stars from around the globe touch down in Australia for the United Cup! 🎾✨ The mixed-team tournament is set to kick off the new season, giving players the perfect warm-up for next month's Australian Open.

The action starts from December 27 to January 5 in the vibrant cities of Sydney and Perth, featuring 18 teams battling it out on the courts.

Among the early arrivals in Perth over the weekend were some of the sport's big names: Germany's Alexander Zverev, Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Zhang Zhizhen, who will be leading Team China in their campaign. Notably, China's Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen is skipping the event to stay fresh for the Australian Open. She knows when to save her superpowers! 🦸‍♀️🇨🇳

Local heroes are also gearing up to make a splash this year. After falling to Germany in the quarterfinals last time, the Aussies are keen to turn the tide.

It's, yeah, it's almost surreal that it's just a whole year later and here we are again facing almost the same opponents, but yeah, it's going to be interesting once again. Last year was the case, and hopefully, you know, we can we can play some good tennis,\" said Australia's men's singles world number 9, Alex de Minaur.
