Honoring Heroes: Remains of 43 Chinese Soldiers Returned Home After 70 Years 🇨🇳🎖️

In a moving ceremony on Thursday, the remains of 43 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953) were finally returned home from the Republic of Korea (ROK). 🇨🇳❤️

Their journey back was aboard a Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force Y-20 transport aircraft, which landed in Shenyang, the heart of northeast China's Liaoning Province, at noon. Alongside the remains, 495 personal belongings of these fallen heroes were also repatriated, sparking emotional moments for those present. ✈️🎖️

These brave soldiers will be laid to rest in a martyrs' cemetery in Shenyang, where they will be remembered for their ultimate sacrifice in the name of peace and unity. 🕊️🌹

Since 2014, China and the ROK have collaborated, honoring international laws and humanitarian principles, to return the remains of 938 CPV martyrs over the course of 10 consecutive handovers. This remarkable effort symbolizes a bridge of mutual respect and historical reconciliation between the two nations. 🌏🤝

The Korean War, which broke out in June 1950, was a significant event just eight months after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Responding to the call for aid from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the CPV entered the Korean Peninsula on October 19, 1950. Over 2.9 million CPV soldiers participated in the conflict that spanned nearly three years, with more than 360,000 heroes killed or injured. 🎖️💔

The return of these martyrs is a solemn reminder of the cost of war and the value of peace. As the world watches, young people everywhere are inspired to remember the past, cherish the present, and work towards a harmonious future. ✨🙌
