An An and Ke Ke: New Panda Pals Arrive in Hong Kong! 🐼✨

🐼✨ Get ready, Hong Kong! Two adorable giant pandas, An An and Ke Ke, have just touched down in the city, and they're bringing double the cuteness! Arriving on Thursday to commemorate the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, this playful pair is all set to make Ocean Park their new home.

The arrival ceremony was nothing short of a panda party! 🎉 HKSAR Chief Executive Chan Kwok-ki and other officials were on hand to welcome the new furry residents. They flew in style from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Sichuan Province, joining four other pandas already chillin' at Ocean Park.

But hold up! Before we can meet them, An An and Ke Ke will be settling in during a 30-day quarantine—think of it as their VIP spa retreat. 🛀 They're expected to make their grand debut to the public by December, just in time for holiday selfies! 📸

Ocean Park staff have been prepping for their arrival since July, getting to know them through special care training and sensory experiences. An An, the male panda born in June 2019, is known for being playful and super agile—future parkour star, maybe? 🐼💨 Meanwhile, Ke Ke, the female panda also born in June 2019, is gentle and has some serious climbing skills. Spider-Panda, anyone? 🐼🕸️

The dynamic duo is in tip-top shape, according to Cheng Yanxi, a veterinarian from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. Cheng accompanied them on their journey and will stick around in Hong Kong for a couple of months to make sure An An and Ke Ke feel right at home.

So mark your calendars and get your cameras ready! These pandas are about to steal our hearts and become Hong Kong's newest stars. 🌟❤️
