China Coast Guard Monitors Philippine Resupply Mission in South China Sea 🌊

In a move highlighting cooperation in the South China Sea, the China Coast Guard (CCG) monitored a Philippine resupply mission to a warship grounded at Ren'ai Jiao, part of China's Nansha Qundao. 🚢

According to a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the resupply took place on Saturday morning under a provisional arrangement between China and the Philippines. \"This morning, based on the provisional arrangement China reached with the Philippines on managing the situation at Ren'ai Jiao, the Philippine side conducted a resupply mission of living necessities,\" the spokesperson stated.

The CCG closely observed the operation to ensure only humanitarian living necessities were being transported. \"After confirming on-site that the Philippine vessel carried only humanitarian living necessities, the Chinese side let the Philippine vessel through,\" the statement read.

Ren'ai Jiao has been a focal point in the South China Sea, and this event underscores the ongoing dialogue between the two nations. The Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized that China's position on Ren'ai Jiao remains unchanged, asserting sovereignty over it, the rest of Nansha Qundao, and their adjacent waters. 🗺️
