China-Laos Railway Speeds Over 100,000 Tonnes of Fresh Fruits in 2024! 🚆🍉

Get ready, fruit lovers! 🍓🍍 The China-Laos Railway has transported more than 100,000 tonnes of fruits so far in 2024, marking a juicy increase of around 120% compared to last year! 🆙

On July 11, a milestone was reached when a whopping 108 tonnes of Thai durians (yes, the King of Fruits! 👑) rolled into the Kunming Hongyun International Logistics Port. This delivery pushed the total fruit transport past the 100,000-tonne mark. And guess what? It took just 29 hours for these tropical treasures to travel from Vientiane South Station in Laos to Kunming in southwest China's Yunnan Province. Talk about express delivery! 🚄💨

Thanks to super-efficient customs clearance (now taking no more than five hours ⏱️), a continuous stream of tropical fruits, veggies, and flowers from South and Southeast Asia are making their way to China via this railway. 🌺🥭🌶️ The China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. is jazzed about how the China-Laos Railway is connecting regions and boosting trade. 🌏🤝

The China-Laos Railway, a shining star within the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), kicked off operations in December 2021. Stretching 1,035 kilometers, it links Kunming in China with Vientiane in Laos. This railway isn't just about tracks and trains—it's bridging cultures, economies, and bringing us closer together! 🌐❤️

So next time you bite into a delicious tropical fruit, think about the journey it made and the tracks that brought it to you! 🍌🚂
