Foreign Residents in HK and Macao Can Get Chinese Mainland Travel Permits Starting July 10! 🎉

Hey there, travel enthusiasts! ✈️

In some exciting news, non-Chinese permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macao can soon apply for travel permits to the Chinese mainland starting July 10! 🗓️

This announcement, made by China's National Immigration Administration (NIA) on Monday, coincided with the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China. The move aims to make it easier for people to travel between the Chinese mainland and the two special administrative regions, helping them better integrate into the national development scene. 🌐

So, what's the deal? If you're a non-Chinese permanent resident in Hong Kong or Macao, you can submit your application to the China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Ltd or the China Travel Service (Macao) Ltd. 📄

Got a damaged, lost, or expired permit while you're on the Chinese mainland? No worries! You can apply for a replacement at the exit-entry administration of the municipal public security bureau. If you're back in Hong Kong or Macao, just head to the respective China Travel Service offices. 🔄

The travel permit is valid for five years and allows multiple entries with stays of up to 90 days each time. While it lets you explore, visit friends, and engage in exchanges, it doesn't allow for work, study, or journalistic activities on the Chinese mainland—you'll need separate visas or permits for those. 🎓💼

An NIA spokesperson highlighted that this new measure will boost connectivity, support economic and cultural exchanges, and promote prosperity and stability in Hong Kong and Macao. The NIA also emphasized its commitment to improving services to aid in the integration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and China's high-quality development. 🚀

Pretty awesome, right? Time to start planning that trip! 🧳🌟
